The Marbled Headstander is an omnivore with a strong preference for vegetable matter. Feed a quality sinking pellet or omnivore wafer as the staple diet, supplemented with spirulina flakes, algae wafers, and fresh vegetables such as zucchini, spinach, cucumber, and shelled peas. Frozen foods including bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia can be offered several times per week to provide additional protein. Feed 1–2 times daily in moderate portions.
